White wine is grape-based alcohol that has the skin and seeds removed from the process after crushing the fruit and before fermentation. This results in less color change to the fruit juice and gives the finished product a clear to yellowish appearance. Chablis is a region of France. However white wines from other areas are sometimes referred to as Chablis wine.
