SmartLabel® includes certifications from independent organizations that have meaningful and consistent standards for product composition, environmental protection and/or social justice.
US EPA Safer Choice
The US EPA Safer Choice Certification ensures the use of safer chemicals in products through an evaluation of the product's ingredients. The standards take into account both consumer and environmental safety.
USDA Certified Biobased Product
The USDA Certified Biobased Product label on a product signifies that it has been third-party tested and verified biobased content. Biobased content means that the ingredients come from renewable biological sources. Each logo will also state the percentage of biobased content within the item.
