Certifications
SmartLabel® includes certifications from independent organizations that have meaningful and consistent standards for product composition, environmental protection and/or social justice.
Certified Organic Quality Assurance Intl
The Quality Assurance International (QAI) certification signifies that the product meets organic standards. To be organic, the use of most synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, radiation, artificial preservatives, flavors and dyes, antibiotics and growth hormones is prohibited. Additionally, the product may not contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs). QAI is a member of the NSF International family of companies.
Parve (Kosher)
The Parve certification signifies that a product is kosher and does not contain milk or meat ingredients.
BioChecked Non Glyphosate Certified
The BioChecked Non Glyphosate Certified Cert attribute includes all products that bear the BioChecked Non Glyphosate Certified Cert logo.
Whole Grain Council
The Basic Whole Grain Stamp signifies that a product contains at least 8g (8 grams) - a half serving - of whole grain, but may also contain some refined grain. Even if a product contains large amounts of whole grain (23g, 37g, 41g, etc.), it will use the Basic Stamp if it also contains extra bran, germ, or refined flour. The number within the stamp signifies how many grams of whole grain ingredients are in a serving of the product.
USDA Organic
The USDA Organic attribute includes any product that has a USDA Organic Certification and meets each of the following requirements: 1) The product is produced without excluded methods, (e.g., genetic engineering, ionizing radiation, or sewage sludge); 2) The product is produced without any excluded substances (National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances); 3) The production of the product is overseen by a USDA National Organic Program-authorized certifying agent, following all USDA organic regulations.
NSF Non-GMO True North Standard Cert
The Non GMO by NSF seal is applied to food and beverage products that are certified non-GMO by NSF. The Certification incorporates elements from the EU and Vermont GMO labeling requirements and pulls best practice from commonly used leading food safety standards. .
Kosher (KOF-K)
KOF-K Kosher Supervision is one of the premier kosher certifying agencies in the world, certifying thousands of products each year in the areas of food production, ingredients, flavors, fragrances, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, as well as vendors, restaurants, and other suppliers of kosher products and services. Only products that meet the strictest standards of Kosher law are permitted to display this symbol.
