The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) developed a set of environmental and social criteria which companies must comply with in order to produce Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO). The criteria require that the plantation was established on land that did not contain significant biodiversity, wildlife habitat or other environmental values.
