SmartLabel® includes certifications from independent organizations that have meaningful and consistent standards for product composition, environmental protection and/or social justice.
Certified Organic Quality Assurance Intl
The Quality Assurance International (QAI) certification signifies that the product meets organic standards. To be organic, the use of most synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, radiation, artificial preservatives, flavors and dyes, antibiotics and growth hormones is prohibited. Additionally, the product may not contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs). QAI is a member of the NSF International family of companies.
USDA Organic
The USDA Organic certification signifies that the product meets organic standards. To be organic, the use of most synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, radiation, artificial preservatives, flavors and dyes, antibiotics and growth hormones is prohibited. Additionally, the product may not contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
