Juice
Fruit juice provides a concentrated, juiced form of fruit that holds the same advantages of fruit; namely that it is packed with vitamins, minerals and other beneficial substances. Being a liquid, fruit juice also keeps the body hydrated but unlike fruit itself, juices can be high in kilojoules and low in fibre. According to the American Academy of Paediatrics, fruit juice should not be given to children under 6 months of age, as it lacks important nutrients found in breast milk or infant formula.
