PLACE tube pan upside down on a glass bottle to cool
OR place loaf pans on their side on a heatproof surface to cool
YOU WILL NEED: 1 1/4 Cups Water
DO NOT EAT RAW BATTER.
BAKING INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1 PREP
REMOVE top oven rack; move remaining rack to lowest position.
PREHEAT oven to 350°F. DO NOT GREASE THE PAN(S).
STEP 2 MIX
BLEND cake mix and water in a large bowl at low speed until moistened (about 30 seconds).
BEAT at medium speed for 1 minute.
POUR into ungreased pan(s) and bake immediately.
STEP 3 BAKE
BAKE on rack in center of oven following chart below. Cake is done when top is golden brown and cracked, looks very dry and is firm to the touch. DO NOT UNDERBAKE.
HANG pan upside down on heat-proof glass bottle until completely cool, about 1 1/2 hours. For loaf pans, rest each loaf pan on its side on a wire rack.
LOOSEN edges carefully with flat knife or spatula to remove cake(s).
FROST cooled cake(s) with Duncan Hines® Whipped White Frosting.
HIGH ALTITUDE (OVER 3,500 FT): PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F. STIR 1/3 CUP FLOUR INTO MIX. ADD 1-1/3 CUPS WATER, MIX AS DIRECTED ABOVE. BAKE IN 10-INCH TUBE PAN 38-42 MINUTES. COOL AS DIRECTED.
