Salsa, Chunky Roasted Tomato & Garlic, Mild

Anaheim peppers or chiles, originated in northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. In the early 1900's, the peppers were taken to California where they were bred to be milder compared to other peppers. They became popular in Anaheim, California. Fire-roasted Anaheim peppers have been cooked over an open flame to soften the flesh and impart darker colors and new flavors to the pepper.
