YOU WILL NEED:
3/4 cup water
3 large eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
DO NOT EAT RAW BATTER.
HIGH ALTITUDE (OVER 3,500 FT): Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 8-inch round pans. Whisk together cake mix, 2/3 cup water, 3 eggs and 1/3 cup vegetable oil in large bowl until well blended. Stir in half of the Fruity Pebbles. Pour into pans and bake 26 to 30 minutes, until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool, frost and decorate according to the directions to the right.
PAN SIZE 8-inch round pans: BAKE TIME 24- 28 minutes
PAN SIZE 9-inch round pans: BAKE TIME 20- 24 minutes
*ADD 3 TO 5 MINUTES TO BAKE TIME FOR DARK OR COATED PANS.
1. Prep
PREHEAT oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or coated pans). GREASE two round pans with PAM® Baking Spray. WHISK TOGETHER cake mix, water, eggs and vegetable oil in large bowl until well blended. STIR in half of the Fruity Pebbles Cereal. Reserve remaining cereal for decorating.
2. Bake
POUR batter into pans. BAKE on rack in center of oven until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. COOL in pan on wire rack 15 minutes. Remove layers from pans and cool completely.
3. Frost
PLACE one cooled layer on serving plate. FROST top of first layer with one frosting pouch. STACK second cake layer on top of frosted layer. FROST top of cake layer with second frosting pouch.
4. Decorate
DECORATE top of cake with remaining Fruity Pebbles Cereal just before serving. Cut and enjoy!
