Organic Sprouted Brown Rice
Brown rice, or "hulled" or "unmilled" rice, is a whole grain rice. Unlike white rice, it contains both the bran and the germ. As a result, it is at risk of going rancid more quickly because these parts of the grain contain fats that can spoil. Because it is sprouted, the rice was harvested after the grain started to to grow, but before it turned into a full stemmed plant. Because it is organic, the rice was grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms.
