COOK THOROUGHLY TO A TEMPERATURE OF 165°F AS MEASURED BY A FOOD THERMOMETER TAKEN IN SEVERAL SPOTS.
PROMPTLY REFRIGERATE ANY LEFTOVERS. REHEAT BEFORE SERVING.
1. PLACE onions in microwave safe dish.
2. COVER and MICROWAVE on HIGH for 7 1/2 MINUTES* (4 MINUTES* for HALF package); STIR HALFWAY through cooking.
3. LET STAND for 1 to 2 MINUTES after cooking. **
4. DRAIN. (Cook time based on 1200 watt microwave: cook time may need to be adjusted for your microwave.)

1 PLACE onions in saucepan. ADD 3/4 CUP WATER. (1/4 cup for HALF package). BRING WATER to a FULL BOIL over HIGH HEAT.
2 REDUCE HEAT to MEDIUM-HIGH and cover. COOK for 6-7 minutes (4-5 minutes for HALF package), STIRRING OCCASIONALLY.
3 DRAIN.
