Sweetened Dried Cranberries
Cranberries are the small fruit of small evergreen shrubs mainly found growing in acidic bogs throughout cooler climatic areas of the Northern Hemisphere. They have a tart, sometimes sharp flavor when eaten fresh. Because they are sweetened, they contain a sweetener, such as sugar. To make the dried version, the berries are typically heated, removing the majority of the water content.
