Vinegar is made from fermenting (converting sugars to acid) of alcohol resulting in a liquid consisting of mainly acetic acid and water. It is used to impart flavor and can be used to control pH.  Becuase the vinegar is organic, the carbohydrates used to make the vinegar are from plants grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms.
