Easy To Mix

1 cup serving: Mix 1/4 cup Sanalac instant nonfat dry milk with 7 oz or 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons water. Mix well until dry milk is completely dissolved. Chill 30 minutes or until cold. 


1 Quart Serving: Mix 1 cup Sanalac instant nonfat dry milk with 3 3/4 cups water. Mix well until dry milk is completely dissolved. Pour into a glass pitcher and chill 1 hour or until cold. 

Recipe: Creamy Broccoli Soup

Creamy Broccoli Soup 

3 (14-oz) cans chicken broth

1 cup Premium Sanalac Nonfat Dry Milk

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp seasoned salt

1/4 tsp white pepper

1 cup each: chopped onion and diced celery

3 tbsp butter or margarine

1 (16-oz) bag frozen chopped broccoli. 

In large bowl, whisk together chicken broth, Sanalac, flour, seasoned salt and pepper until smooth and well blended; set aside. In large saucepan, saute onion and celery in butter until very tender. Add broccoli and cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through, about 8 minutes. Stir sanalac mixture and add to vegetable mixture. Heat soup, stirring occasionally, until boiling and slightly thickened. Pour half of soup in the bowl of a food processor and puree until smooth. Remove and puree remaining soup. Add pureed soup back to saucepan and heat through. 

Makes 8 cups soup.

Recipe: Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Perfect Pumpkin Pie 

1-2/3 cups water

1 (16-oz) can pumpkin (about 2 cups)

1 cup premium Sanalac Nonfat Dry Milk

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp each: salt and ginger

1/4 tsp cloves

1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell 

Sweetened whipped cream.

In large bowl, beat all ingredients except pastry shell and whipped cream. Pour into pastry shell and bake at 425°F for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and bake 50 to 60 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool; serve with sweetened whipped cream. 

Makes 8 servings.

Suggested Use

For extra richness and increased protein and vitamins per serving, mix one (1) cup of Sanalac premium nonfat dry milk with 3 cups of cold water. Sanalac also makes an ideal dry ingredient for baking or cooking of wholesome, good tasting recipes your family will love.

For the freshest milk flavor, chill overnight before serving. For a richer nourishment, add less water.
