Enriched Bleached Wheat Flour
Wheat flour is a powder made from the grinding of wheat. Bleached flours are flours that have been bleached to obtain a white appearance. The bleaching process also oxidizes the surfaces of the flour grains and helps with the development of gluten. Flours are enriched to replace nutrients that have been lost during processing. These nutrients are typically iron, B vitamins (folic acid, riboflavin, niacin and thiamine) and calcium.
