BACON WRAPPED HOT DOGS SERVES 4 - YOU WILL NEED: 4 ARNOLD WHITE HOT DOG BUNS, 1 HALF ONION, SLICED, 1 GREEN PEPPER, CUT INTO STRIPS, 4 HOT DOGS, 4 SLICES OF BACON, DIJON MUSTARD, 8 TOOTHPICKS, SOAKED IN WATER, OPTIONAL: 1 JALAPENO, SEEDED AND SLICED, 1 TBSP. BUTTER, INSTRUCTIONS - 1. PREHEAT GRILL TO LOW HEAT AND OIL GRATE. 2. WRAP ONE SLICE OF BACON AROUND EACH HOT DOG. USE 2 WATER-SOAKED TOOTHPICKS PER HOT DOG TO SECURE THEM ON THE ENDS. 3. HEAT BUTTER IN A LARGE SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL IT IS HOT AND MELTED. ADD THE VEGETABLES AND SAUTE FOR ABOUT 6-8 MINUTES, UNTIL BROWNED. 4. GRILL THE HOT DOGS ON LOW HEAT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, TURNING EVERY COUPLE MINUTES TO COOK ALL THE BACON. THIS SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 8-10 MINUTES, UNTIL BACON IS CRISP. 5. REMOVE TOOTHPICKS AND SERVE THE HOT DOGS WITH DIJON MUSTARD, SAUTEED VEGETABLES AND JALAPENOS, IF DESIRED.
