Dolly's Extra Special Pecan Pie Brownies

you will need:

Brownies:

1 pkg (17.6 oz each) Duncan Hines Fabulously Double Fudge Brownie Mix

1 egg

1/2 cup melted butter

3 tablespoons milk

Pecan Pie Filling:

1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/4 cup corn syrup or honey

1 egg

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1-1/2 cups pecan halves

DO NOT EAT RAW BATTER

BROWNIES:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 8-inch square pan with PAM. Stir together brownie mix, contents of fudge packet, 1 egg, 1/2-cup melted butter, and milk in large bowl until well blended, about 50 strokes. Pour into pan and spread evenly. Bake 32 to 35 minutes, until toothpick inserted 1-inch from edge of pan comes out clean. Remove from oven.

PECAN PIE FILLING:While brownies are baking, stir together brown sugar, corn syrup, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons melted butter, vanilla, and salt in medium bowl. Spread pecans over cooked brownies. Pour pecan pie filling evenly over pecans. Continue baking 20 to 24 minutes, until filling is set. Cool pecan pie brownies completely before cutting and serving.

you will need:

1 large egg

1/2 cup melted butter

3 tablespoons milk

DO NOT EAT RAW BATTER

DIRECTIONS:

1. PREP

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom of pan with PAM. Knead fudge packet 15 times before opening to soften.

2. MIX

Stir brownie mix, egg, melted butter, milk, and contents of fudge packet together in a large bowl until well blended, about 50 strokes. Spread into greased pan and bake immediately.

3. BAKE

Bake on rack in center of oven following chart below. *Add 3-5 minutes for glass pan. Brownie is done when toothpick inserted 1-inch from the edge of pan comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack before cutting and serving.

PAN SIZE 8X8-INCH BAKE TIME 32 TO 35 MINUTES

PAN SIZE 9X9-INCH BAKE TIME 24 TO 27 MINUTES

High Altitude: Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir 1 egg, 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon melted butter, 4 tablespoons milk, and 2 tablespoons flour into brownie mix. Bake 8 x 8 inch pan 32 to 37 min; 9 x 9 inch pan 24 to 26 min.
