Rye
Rye is a grain producing grass that is closely related to the barley and wheat grasses. Rye is ground into flour and used to make breads, such as pumpernickel. It is also a popular as a mash constituent in order to make alcoholic beverages, most popularly rye whiskey, which is comprised of mash containing at least 51% rye grain.
