SAUTE DIRECTIONS 1. PREPARE GREEN BEANS BY WASHING AND CUTTING TO DESIRED SIZE. 2. HEAT BUTTER OR OLIVE OIL OVER MEDIUM-HIGH HEAT. 3. SAUTE FOR 5-6 MINUTES OR UNTIL TENDER BUT STILL CRISP. 4. REMOVE FROM HEAT. SEASON WITH SALT, PEPPER, AND BUTTER TO TASTE.
STEAMED DIRECTIONS 1. FILL A POT WITH ABOUT 1 INCH OF WATER. BRING TO A BOIL. 2. PLACE THE DESIRED AMOUNT OF GREEN BEANS IN A STEAMER BASKET, COVER AND STEAM FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES UNTIL DESIRED TENDERNESS IS REACHED. 3. DISCARD WATER AND RETURN TO SAUCEPAN. SEASON WITH SALT, PEPPER, AND BUTTER TO TASTE.
