Coconut Powder is made from dried (desiccated) coconut that has had the coconut milk evaporated from it. The powdered product usually contains maltodextrins and sometimes salt. Coconut powder can be reconstituted in water and can be used for making desserts or added to curries or chutney. Although coconut powder is meant to be a fine powder, often manufacturers sometimes refer to dried, shredded (desiccated) coconut as coconut powder.
